World Bank Changes the Conversation

Last week we posted a critique of the World Bank's development report on agriculture. This week Wayne Roberts focuses on what the Bank got right: It changed the development conversation by making agriculture a central concern, acknowledging its critical role in poverty alleviation and making the crucial connection of agriculture to the environment - suggesting that farmers should be paid for the services they perform.
