Rising Food Prices and Regime Stability
This article from a Kenyan academic raises many interesting questions concerning the current crisis in world food prices, which has recently been characterized as a "silent tsunami" by WFP executive director Josette Sheeran. From bio-fuels, middle-class demand for meat in countries like China and India and speculation in food futures, this is a crisis with no end in sight.
