Sri Lanka: Water Woes Fall on Women's Shoulders

Changing rainfall patterns and lack of adequate water collection and distribution infrastructure in Sri Lanka is having an especially heavy impact on women. Shortages of water exist in many parts of the country. Women who traditionally manage the household's water supply now must spend hours each day collecting it.
